HIESTAND CELEBRATES 20th ANNIVERSARY IN MALAYSIA

ARYZTA Malaysia is celebrating HIESTAND 20th Anniversary this year. The history of HIESTAND started 52 years ago in a modestly designed bakery. Used machines and an initial capital of 5000 Swiss francs became the beginning of one of the most innovative Swiss companies, the leader in the frozen bakery products industry.

The first croissants produced according to Fredy Hiestand’s high quality standards from the best Swiss ingredients were an intermediate step. The brand took off in 1988 with us pioneering pre-fermented croissant, which greatly facilitated baking process that followed. Since then the principle of fermentation has become the secret of success.

The first production plant in Poland was built in 1989 in the Gocław district of Warsaw. In 2000 the most modern bakery in Eastern Europe began operating in Grodzisk. In the same year, we began our production in Malaysia Bangi on 17 Jan 2000. Over the last 20 years, more than 500 SKU’s went through the Bangi production lines.
